At ARC South West, we are committed to making research more inclusive, equitable, and reflective of the diverse communities we serve and our community priorities.
Certain groups are underrepresented in research. Including these underserved groups is essential to ensure the research findings are applicable and beneficial to all.
An inclusive approach should be integrated into every stage of the research design process. Our ultimate goal is to reduce health and social care inequalities and to enhance health and wellbeing for everyone. Inclusive research design that attends to health inequalities plays an important part in this mission.
Staff and researchers are invited to book a 30-minute session for dedicated advice and guidance on all staff matters related to research inclusion, whether for ongoing projects or new proposals.
Whatever your enquiry, from assistance with designing an inclusion strategy or obtaining feedback on current projects, the team is available to support you from conceptualisation to implementation, ensuring that research inclusion principles are integrated throughout.
These sessions are currently held online, at varying times each week. Sessions will be held with either Kristin Liabo (Research Inclusion Strategic Lead) or Naomi Morley (Operational Lead for Research Inclusion).
If you are unable to find a suitable slot, please contact: h.hazelwood@exeter.ac.uk
