The Evidence Synthesis and Modelling for Integrated Care (ESMI) team has launched the ESMI Digest, a new regular update bringing together recent health and social care evidence, research outputs and resources from across the team.
The Digest has been created to make it easier to discover and access the work produced by ESMI, including evidence reviews, briefing papers, plain-language summaries and academic publications.
The first issue highlights a range of recent and ongoing projects, covering topics including extra care housing for older people, safety management systems in healthcare, osteoporosis screening, infectious disease contact tracing, PANS/PANDAS, dental amalgam, breastfeeding support and inequalities experienced by people living with rare diseases.
ESMI specialises in gathering, evaluating and synthesising research evidence to support evidence-informed health and social care policy and practice, working with partners including NHS organisations, government departments and public sector bodies.
The Digest is intended to become a regular way of sharing this work and making ESMI’s evidence and resources more accessible to researchers, health and care professionals, policymakers and others with an interest in evidence-informed practice.
