Biography

Louise has experience of chronic health conditions, disability, and being a carer. She has also volunteered for more than 15 charities and community groups. These experiences led her to PPI, where she is passionate about meaningful research and making a difference. She is particularly interested in Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) as she comes from a marginalised background and has supported many others who have faced similar challenges in society. She has been involved with a number of research studies and PPI strategy groups. She also enjoys teaching coproduction, PPI, EDI, and facilitation skills. She currently advises the NIHR on PPI policy and initiatives at national level.
