Biography

Having recently finished a PhD in Sociology at the University of Plymouth which explored women’s experiences of mothering with autistic children I have joined the CHOICES HI-SP team on a project that looks at hospital initiated social prescribing in children and young people (CYP) with type 1 diabetes. I have previously worked as a diabetes nurse specialist and have volunteered at events for CYP with diabetes and organised weekends for families of CYP with diabetes.

My research interests are diabetes, neurodiversity, mothering, qualitative and creative research methods, with a focus on making research accessible to all.
