Biography

Michelle is a qualitative researcher who specialises in participatory research methods, co-production and co-design approaches. She has managed different co-production projects, working alongside members of the public who experience health inequities, to improve health services. This has included working with people with mental health problems, experiences of homelessness, substance use issues, and domestic abuse. She has worked with and evaluated programmes that are developing trauma-informed approaches and systems to more compassionately support people who have experienced trauma.

She has an interdisciplinary background, having worked across health services, sociology, social policy and public services management. All research projects she has been involved with have been in collaboration with non-academic organisations, including a wide range of health and mental health services, local government and third sector organisations.
